William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet â€Å"Romeo and Juliet† is a romantic tragedy written by William Shakespeare in 1595, which is over 400 years ago. Romeo and Juliet are â€Å"two star-crossed lovers†, who fell in love at first sight and struggle through circumstances, which ends with their death. There are some characters that are to blame for their deaths and some more than others. The Montagues are someway to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because of the feud have with the Capulets. However they are not one of the main protagonists in the play. On the other hand the Capulets are greatly to blame. For example after Tybalts death if they did not force Juliet to marry Paris†¦show more content†¦However there is a turning point when Lord Capulet tells Juliet to marry Paris, the nurse sides with her father and says,† I think it best you married the County.† She then leaves Juliet devastated and to her fate. Some people would think that the nurse is not blame because she did everything out of Love and that it was Fate that Tybalt died, so her father tried to cheer her up and tell her to marry Paris. Then in comes Friar Lawrence, who write from the beginning has played a huge part in their deaths. For example he agrees to marry the pair, however he thought it would stop the two households fighting,† for this alliance may so happy prove to turn house holds’ rancour to pure love.† In the Elizabethan times priests where highly thought of and therefore people would believe in what they say. Also in Elizabethan times Fate was greatly believed in. Was it just a coincident that the note to Romeo couldnt there or how Friar Lawrence turns up just after Romeo has killed himself?
